George Scott is a seasoned life science and corporate attorney with over 20 years of legal and business experience.
Before joining Outside GC, George served as the General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, and VP of Corporate Affairs for Charleston Laboratories, Inc., a privately held, specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the research and development of novel medications that prevent drug and disease-induced nausea and vomiting. At Charleston Laboratories, George oversaw all of the legal affairs for the company and its affiliates, including all issues related to partnerships and alliances, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, labor and employment, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation, clinical research, manufacturing, and management of risk, and led its relationship with the FDA.
Prior to joining Charleston Laboratories, George spent several years with large global law firms, most recently with Greenberg Traurig. George brings over a decade of legal experience representing public and private companies in sophisticated corporate transactions and regulatory matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity, corporate finance, and corporate governance. Prior to his legal career, George worked in investment banking for one of the largest investment banks in the world and spent several years in the music industry. Mr. Scott holds a BS from Syracuse University, an MBA from Wagner College, and a JD from Charlotte School of Law.
When not working, George cherishes his time with his wife Danielle and daughters Keira and Shea.
